The Bible tells us that singleness is a gift and an opportunity to devote ourselves to Jesus. However, for many single Christians, it doesn’t always feel that way when battling with loneliness, disappointment and anxiety about the future.

There are many voices in the Christian space that refer to singleness as a “season” or a ”waiting period”, something to endure until it passes. But is that really what being single as a follower of Jesus is about?
